Joining TODAY live, Dr. Anthony Fauci says he believes that the pause in the Johnson & Johnson due to rare reports of blood clots in women “is going to take days to weeks as opposed to weeks to months.” He emphasizes: “This is a rare occurrence, the pause is out of an abundance of caution.” He also says the pause could actually diminish vaccine hesitancy because it shows health officials are being careful.
