'Black Lives Matter' protest descends into violence in London

A scuffle broke out and punches were thrown outside Downing Street in London during a Black Lives Matter protest on Wednesday. The day began peacefully with several thousand protesters taking to Hyde Park to show solidarity with protesters in the US, following the death of unarmed African-American George Floyd.

It is not clear what started the altercation, which saw clashes between protesters and the police. Several journalists were also caught up in the melee, one suffering a head wound after being attacked with a glass bottle. #blm #blacklivesmatteruk #blacklivesmatter
